The Youniverse

Why deny it? We are gods!

The main reason we deny our godliness is because we have an inaccurate idea of what god actually is. God is the infinite being, containing everything there is, was, and ever will be. This obviously must include us.

This realization isn’t about denying our imperfect selves or our imperfect lives, or the imperfection of others and their lives; it’s about realizing that the imperfect self and life is also a part of god. It is about opening up our perception of what god is so that it includes everything and excludes nothing. This is god consciousness. It is seeing everything and everyone as a part of you and it is embracing all as a part of you. This is the consciousness of Oneness.

God is in equal parts the small and the great. In fact, it is in the context of growing and expanding from small to great that god can actually be experienced. If god was nothing but the greatest it could not experience its greatness or even know that it exists.

The experience of god or of existence itself happens in the process of change, because all experience happens within the context of other experiences. For god to experience its existence it must change and grow in its awareness of itself. For this to be possible, god must be something lesser at some point and grow into its greatness. This is where we are. We are god experiencing itself through the process of growth in each of our lives. We are god seeking to grow in awareness so that we include more and more of ourselves. This is why each and every one of us strives to be greater than we were and reach higher and higher. It is also why we seek to unite with others in harmony. It is in our nature to do so.

So, the idea is to stop judging ourselves for being where we are. We are not any less godly because we are in poverty or sickness or limitation. We are not any less great or powerful because of our current situations. It is not where we are that matters, but where we’re going. It is about how we respond to where you are right now that matters. We can choose to respond to them as the gods that we are. We can embrace ourselves unconditionally, and move forward at the same time. We can remember the gods that we are and allow ourselves to grow into the highest ideas we have of ourselves right now. Once we become and experience those highest versions of ourselves we will become aware of higher versions to become still, and this shall go on forevermore.

This is the path of god. It is eternal growth and expansion. The experience of god is all about the journey, because the journey is infinite and unending. It cannot end because all experience happens in journeys, and it is experience we are after. We want to experience ourselves, over and over again. To exist is to experience existence. To experience existence is to change and grow. This is the true nature of all of existence. It is all changing and growing.

Now, when each of us declares and admits our godliness others may try to question or doubt our divine nature and our greatness, based on the appearance of our current life situations or based on who we’ve been. They may wonder how we can claim to be the great gods we are if we look like any regular human being, or if we’re living from paycheque to paycheque or bedridden with illness. Yet their words won’t matter anymore. Now we’ll see that it is their limited idea of god that doesn’t allow them to see the god in us or the god in themselves. In this state of consciousness we will let go of our limited idea of ourselves and embrace our true nature. We will move into the state of godliness, and we will grow and expand, ever more quickly, joyfully and lovingly, for eternity.

..not all feelings, not all thoughts, not all experience, and not all words are from Me.

The challenge is one of discernment. The difficulty is knowing the difference between messages from God and data from other sources.

Discrimination is a simple matter with the application of a basic rule: Mine is always your Highest Thought, your Clearest  Word, your Grandest Feeling.  Anything less is from another source.

The Highest Thought is always that thought which contains joy.  The Clearest Words are those words which contain truth.  The Grandest Feeling is that feeling which you call love.

Joy, Truth, Love.

These three are interchangeable, and one always leads to the other. It matters not in which order they are placed.

Conversations with God

Life seeks balance in all things. To live is to be in balance from within and from without.
This is why you cannot deny or avoid your dreams and still live a healthy and successful Life. You cannot talk yourself out of your dreams, settle for something else, and pretend that you are alright. To try to do so is to be out of balance.
To not follow your dreams, preferences and your joys is to be out of balance. It is to be miserable and to keep yourself in misery. This misery is the feeling of contradicting the flow and the nature of Life itself.
Life causes you to have preferences and desires, and holds within it everything necessary in order to fulfill those preferences and desires. Otherwise it would be imbalanced and not like Life at all.
The process of desire and fulfillment is the very process of Life itself. You are Life constantly balancing yourself through the process of desire and fulfillment. View Larger

There is more than one way to define love. There is more than one way to define abundance. There is more than one way to define life. There is more than one way to define power. There is more than one way to define joy. There is more than one way to define god. The essence of a definition is not the way it is defined, but rather the definition itself.

Requirements? What Requirements?

Every requirement is self-created. There are no external requirements of you. There is no yardstick that you must measure up against to prove your worth. All goals and all the resulting sense of success and failure are also self-created. The truth is that every endeavour you take part in is solely because you want to take part in it. There are no expectations for your life. There is no serious chore you must undertake to reach the promised land. All of it is self-created. So lighten up on yourself.

So what if society tries to hold you to its expectations so that it can fulfill its own expectations? There is no external expectation of society either. The goals and expectations of society for itself (whatever they may be), are self-created. Is it worth it to give up your freedom and joy for some arbitrary societal goal that society itself created? Furthermore, if society’s expectations are created for our well-being and happiness, why are so many us unhappy even if we abide by those expectations? Also, as members that make up our society, wouldn’t it be ideal and shouldn’t we strive to contribute in our own unique way by sharing our self-chosen joyous creations, leading to the creation of a society that reflects the true joy of its members?

Once again, this all gives rise to one of the core questions that has been asked numerous times in this blog ever since it began: are you doing what makes you happy? And if not, why not? Why limit your joy by holding yourself to others’ expectations of how you should behave? The idea is to live your life the way you want to live it, simply for the fun of living it.

So the only reason to go to school is because you want to go, and because you enjoy learning there. The only reason to work somewhere is because you want to work there, and you enjoy the work. The only reason to create anything is because you want to create it. The only reason to live at all is because you want to do so, and because you enjoy it.

So much of our pain is the result of striving to meet some external requirement, yet none of us have yet reached that requirement. This is because it isn’t there.

There is no single set requirement you must fulfill in order to prove your worth, because that requirement is constantly changing. In other words, there is no requirement at all. You cannot prove your worth to anybody else by measuring up to their expectations of what makes you worthy.

If you live to please others and meet their expectations, there will be a day when you fail. It is an impossibility to fulfill everyone’s expectations of you, or even all of one person’s expectations of you. And yet, this is what we strive to do, and it is sucking the joy out of our lives.

The solution is to live within yourself, with joy and unconditional love, knowing that you are living for yourself. Do what you want to do for the joy of doing it. Forget about the requirements and expectations because there simply aren’t any.

The value of any given activity, interaction or relationship is equal to the amount of joy it brings.

The expression of true joy changes the experience of life dramatically. The emotion of joy magnetically and synchronistically attracts us to circumstances, ideas, people and other aspects of Life that are of a similar vibration, which automatically reinforces the expression of joy. Keeping this in mind, the true purpose or goal of any of our expressions then, should be to express joy for all involved in the expression.

In other words, the more joyful we are through our expressions, the more joy we can spread and experience through subsequent expressions.

Feel Good

Until you realize you have the ability to unconditionally feel good- that is, to feel joy, love, passion and all that good stuff, you will either anxiously chase after or anxiously cling to the external things and situations that you think will make you feel good or you think are making you feel good.

Except those things will not really make you feel good; they will make you feel anxious, because you fear not having them and/or acquiring them and therefore losing or never attaining your source of good feelings.

And so a vicious cycle of attempting to subdue this anxiety is started, in which you spend almost all of your time anxiously chasing and/or protecting in order to feel good, all the while not feeling good during the whole process, ironically enough!

The cycle will continue in one form or another until you realize your ability to unconditionally feel good, or in other words, until you realize that you are the source of those feel-good emotions, and not the external things or situations.

The Natural Order

The reason why so much effort and struggle is needed in keeping our lives running is because we are trying to impose an artificial order upon them. We are afraid that without that order our lives would revert to chaos, which will inevitably end up in our death.

In our attempts at artificial order, we forget about the natural order of life: the order that created human beings in the first place, the order behind the workings of our bodies, the planet we live on, and the Universe we live in. We overlook the fact that what seems like chaos to us, is actually a miraculous and breathtaking orchestration.

Realizing this orchestration leads to the realization that surrendering to life, by following our own rhythms of joy and excitement with no expectation, is not surrendering to chaos, but rather surrendering to the power of the larger orchestration. In our surrender we are allowing ourselves to be a natural part of that orchestration.

If we just quieten our minds for a few moments and observe the miracle that is life, we can maybe begin to get a grasp of how wonderfully it already works, and we can finally relax into the natural workings of our lives.

Don’t invalidate what brings you joy.

Many of the common things people enjoy today were once perceived by others as “wrong” or “weird”. I mean, it must have been pretty weird to watch the first-ever basketball game for example. Imagine seeing people throwing balls at a peach basket for the first time. But if the players stopped playing because it was weird for some people, there would be no basketball today. And that’s just one example. Almost every new type of music, sport, clothing, or any other expression was initially ridiculed by someone, somewhere. That ridicule didn’t stop those who loved the new expression and that’s how change has always come to be. It takes a commitment to continue doing what you love regardless of what others may have to say.

Live each day with the spirit of celebration.

Celebrate that you are.

Celebrate that you didn’t need to do anything special to deserve to be, and that the Universe just had to have you within it at this time.

Celebrate that you have the opportunity to experience life in this wonderful Universe.

Celebrate that the Universe contains so much that you prefer, and that some of what you prefer, even if it’s just a tiny bit, has somehow made it into your experience.

Celebrate that not only do you get to experience life, but that life contains things that actually bring you joy.

Celebrate the fact that you can celebrate and that celebration exists at all.

Celebrate that joy exists within you, and so does the opposite of joy, so that you can actually experience joy as its own distinct experience.

Celebrate that the sun shines, that the rain falls, and that nature is so naturally beautiful.

Celebrate the music on your iPod, or the existence of your iPod itself.

Celebrate the food you eat.

Celebrate the clothes you wear.

Celebrate that the Universe contains so much inspiration for you to continue being yourself.

Celebrate that you’ve found some of that inspiration.

Celebrate that you don’t prefer everything, and that what you don’t prefer allows you to focus on what you do prefer.

Celebrate that you have the power to choose and that you can prefer whatever you want to prefer.

Celebrate all these things by acting on them and enjoying them.

Celebrate your favourite music by dancing to it.

Celebrate your clothes by wearing them proudly.

Celebrate the sun by basking in it.

Celebrate nature by beholding it.

Celebrate your power to choose by making preferable choices.

Celebrate life itself by enjoying the living of yours.

Joy is the feeling of celebrating the fact that you are being yourself. The joy you feel as you dance to your favourite music, or play with your pet, or eat your favourite meal, or follow your curiosity, is your feeling of celebrating that you are being most “you” and that you’ve chosen an experience that reflects the being you prefer to be. As you’re joyful, colours get more vivid, the sun shines more brilliantly, your heart sings, your very cells tingle with excitement. It’s as if the whole universe is smiling and celebrating the birth of the wonderful being you have chosen to be.

When it comes to living your life, the idea is to enjoy it as fully as you can, and to create it using the power of your preference and your focus. The idea is to create heaven on earth and to enjoy what makes physical reality such a unique experience. The sensations of being a physical being in a physical reality is such an awesome experience, if you take the time to appreciate it.

You do not need to settle or struggle in this life for some future reward. The reward is right here, right now. This life is meant to be enjoyed! There is no sense in waiting until you’re dead to experience what you think will be heaven, because that heaven, if you create it, will be a very different experience from the heaven you can create in this particular reality. Life on earth is just as special and can be just as enjoyable as any heaven can be.
